What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
You may opt into and subscribe to receive our email newsletter by entering your email address in the subscription bar at the top of our blog. When you opt in, you provide your consent to receive regular emails from us. We store your personal information (email address only and any additional information you choose to share) on a secure third party mail vendor website. You have the right to opt out at any time and your personal information will be deleted immediately.
Giveaways
Your data will be stored within the system we use to make sure entries to giveaways are fair and that information is store correctly. We use Rafflecopter for this. All data within Rafflecopter is stored for three months after the giveaway or competition has ended and then it will be deleted. NO information from Rafflecopter is shared with any third party or for commercial purposes. You will be asked for consent via email when we contact you if you have won, that we can share your information with the company or organization we are partnering with, to arrange delivery of your prize or item. Any information shared directly with us will be deleted and not store. We never share your information without consent.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
