Back at the beginning of December we had our good buddies, the Brownes, over for a relaxed evening of cheese, dessert, champagne and homemade hot cocoa. Really it was an excuse for me to start the holiday baking frenzy because let’s face it, I love this time of year probably 50% for the food. The fact that there is a time of year when it is acceptable to bake all the time, over-indulge and no one can say anything to you about it, yes, I am all over that. Oh and throw in good people to boot. Yes!
Here are a few shots of some of the goodies:
Champagne Kirs
White chocolate, cranberry ginger popcorn balls
Loaded oatmeal cookies with brown butter icing
We also had baked brie topped with pecans and cranberry relish, chess bars made by our friends and yummy hot cocoa. I did not get a picture of them because I am lame. The hot cocoa was so good, that I feel compelled to share a link to that recipe too:
We ended the fun evening by playing several rounds of rage-inducing
Hope you also had some enjoyable, relaxing and indulgent time this holiday season with family and friends!
