Happy National Ranch Dressing Day!! Celebrate in a healthier way with these super yummy Ranch dressings made with Greek Yogurt. You can put them on just about anything – but why not try my healthy Ranch Jalapeno Popper Pizza recipe!
Southerners love their ranch dressing, it’s true. Heck, all of America loves their ranch – it’s the number one salad dressing in the U.S.! It’s one of my favorites too. I eat it more frequently as a dip. When I’m being healthy, it’s perfect to break up the monotony of raw veggies like carrots and cucumber (and the hubs has confessed to using it as pretzel dip during his lunchbreak too). But my guilty pleasure when it’s the weekend and we’re indulging, I love to dip pizza in ranch! What I don’t love about typical ranch is that it’s not the best choice for me health-wise. Loaded with vegetable oil, egg yolks, sugar and processed ingredients, one serving of the original stuff has 140 calories and 14 grams of fat. Woah! Now check out the nutrition for OPA by Litehouse Greek Yogurt Ranch dressing!
Seriously, y’all, they are so good they are my new favorite ranch dressings! Both the Greek Yogurt Ranch and the Greek Yogurt Jalapeno Ranch taste AMAZING! I was honestly afraid that being made with nonfat Greek yogurt would cause these dressings to have that off-putting almost sour flavor of plain Greek yogurt – you know what I’m talking about. I love Greek yogurt just as much as the next guy, but I gotta have a little fruit and honey in mine to tone down that chalky lip smacking texture. Fortunately, you get NONE of that with these dressings! Sure they sent me free samples to try, but I will always be honest and tell you if something sucks. These DO NOT. They are so thick and creamy with loads of flavor! I seriously want to just eat it right off the spoon!
With 60 or fewer calories per serving, very little fat, no sugar in the Ranch and almost none in the Jalapeno ranch, they make a very sensible choice as well! They are gluten-free and contain no preservatives or MSG so you can feel even better about enjoying more ranch! And Litehouse has SO MANY other flavors I can’t wait try – check out the list on their website – avocado cilantro, roasted garlic, blue cheese, curry, strawberry poppyseed! Sign. Me. Up. I have a particular weakness for poppyseed dressing!
One really fun way to use ranch is as a pizza sauce. So I came up with a couple of delicious pizza recipes for you using a homemade cauliflower crust and the OPA Greek Yogurt Ranch dressing as a base. The first one and my favorite is a Ranch Jalapeno Popper pizza topped with the Greek Yogurt Jalapeno Ranch dressing, pepper jack cheese, shallot, jalapeno and BACON! Unh, it’s just so good, I’m dying. It tastes just like a Jalapeno Popper but in pizza form. Does it get much better????
We also made a delicious Ranch pizza with garlic chicken sausage, mushrooms, and red pepper. And of course, MOAR BACON!
This was another simple, but tasty and healthy pizza for dinner! The flavor of the creamy Greek Yogurt Ranch went perfectly with garlicky chicken sausage and veggies.
