My niece, Arabella, celebrated her 4th birthday in serious style at the end of August. My step-mom and sister threw together what is surely one of the greatest Frozen themed parties of the year complete with Anna and Elsa live in person for story-time, princess lessons, and a Princess coronation for the birthday girl. The birthday girl had to dress the part! My step-mom sewed together this adorable Elsa costume for her to wear. She also made an Anna outfit for her younger sister, Sierra. How cute is she? Perfect, right! Here is a link to a list of 15+ DIY Princess Anna costumes and Elsa Dress Tutorials if you want to try your hand at putting one together.
To really throw a great Frozen themed party, you’ve got to have theme food, right?? There were cute labels for things like Olaf’s Noses, blue jello turned into Kristoff’s Ice Blocks, Anna’s Chocolate covered Marshmallows, Kisses to Melt a Frozen Heart, Sven’s Reindeer Fodder, and Elsa’s Ice Crystals. I am not sure where she got these labels or if she created them herself, but knowing her creativity it was probably the latter – she is so good at coming up with stuff like this. But no worries, a quick google search for Frozen party food labels brings up a ton of options very similar to these.
Now of course, you need the princesses themselves. You can hire character actors dressed up as Anna and Elsa to show up to your party for a half hour for pictures, story time, princess lessons, and loads of fun for the kiddos. These lovely ladies were from Neverland & Company.
Princess Anna and Elsa brought a slew of books based on the movie Frozen they could read during story time. The  girls loved it – Anna and Elsa each read their sections of the stories making it just that much more fun!
They gave princess lessons and then Elsa showed off her magical powers by turning water into snow! The snow was saved in a glass bottle as a keepsake for Arabella to remember her awesome 4th birthday!
And then best of all, there was a coronation making Arabella a princess in her own right! Anna and Elsa brought out their fancy box and inside was a crown necklace for her…
and a real crown…she was so excited!!
They also had her coronation printed up for her announcing to the world that she is a princess!!
For dessert, why not a blue frozen shaved ice? Just grab a mini shaved ice machine and top with blue raspberry syrup!
Or a Frozen ice castle cake topped with all of your favorite characters. The cake itself on the inside was also blue!
And that’s a wrap on this awesome Frozen party for a very special 4-year-old! I feel about as excited as she looks here! 🙂
If you are in the Knoxville area and want to hire characters for your own party, I highly recommend Neverland & Company. They provide character entertainers for children’s birthday parties and other family friendly events. They are all drama students from UT and they did an awesome job! Here is their info:
