For our last Key West post, we’re going out with a bang. Just like our last night in Key West….we went out with a fun-filled, tipsy, wine filled Sunset Sail, compliments of Danger Charters. They’re little office is unassuming and located on the pier right at the end of Front Street. Get there early b/c they leave on time. Can’t have you missing the boat!
Now before we get into this, I WISH I could recall the list of 8 exceptional wines they served us…but I can’t. We were on vacation, and when someone comes around with a tray of snacks and refills my wine glass for the 4th time…the last thing on my mind is jotting down which one they’re serving. However, they were all really good wines and a varietal offering from a light sauvignon blanc to a rich, dark cab. Rest assured you will not be disappointed by a box of Franzia (or maybe that’s your thing).
The sail itself takes about two hours. You head out before sunset at a nice easy pace towards Sunset Key.
Just look at this flawless woman watching the sun start to go down…
The Captain does a prime job positioning the boat for optimal picture taking and sunset watching, meanwhile the crew keeps everyone happy with light snacks (think veggies, cheese, crackers, fruit) and fun boat music. I was actually impressed with some of the food spread – they even got fancy towards the end of the night bringing out brie with honey and pear slices.
Key West boasts one of the better locations to watch a sunset and it did not disappoint. At this point, I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
So there you have a Key West Sunset. Pretty spectacular huh? We thought so. All in all, we had a smashing good time and it was a perfect ending to our Key West trip. The Danger Charters crew were all super friendly, easily accessible at all times, and made sure that everyone was having a good time (and that your glass was never empty!) Totally recommend spending an evening out on the water with them if you’re planning a trip to Key West – you won’t be disappointed!
We received two free VIP Media passes from Newman PR – the PR firm for the Florida Keys tourism, which got us free entry to this attraction in exchange for writing up a post about our trip. As always, all opinions are our own and we aren’t afraid to be honest about our experiences.
