Homestead Creamery, a dairy creamery in Wirtz, VA sells milk by the glass bottle throughout the year at groceries like Earthfare and Whole Foods. This time of year, though, they sell the best Eggnog EVER! All of their milk comes from cows at two dairy farms local to Wirtz, VA, each owned by a creamery co-owner. The milk is bottled on site and is typically on store shelves less than 48 hours later. Doesn’t get much fresher than that – unless you are getting it straight from the cow itself.
Homestead Creamery packages all of their milk products in recycled glass bottles because it further assures the taste is fresh as glass does not interfere with the flavor of the milk and it is environmentally friendly.
The flavor of their Eggnog is perfect; the consistency is thick and creamy. It is Christmas perfection in a glass, er glass bottle. Better get some quick though. It sells out fast and once it’s gone it won’t be around again for another year!

Ya know, as a general rule, I don’t hate eggnog. I’ll usually give it a swig if it happens to be around at a family function or whatever during the holidays. But a swig is usually all I’ll give it. You make this kind sound so good though. Creamy and delicious. I want to try it. But I suppose I’ll have to wait till next year, what with the raw egg content and all.
